Tribe Chat Glitch

When opening the tribe chat I get this wierd glitch, I can see some white squares for a split second, then they disapear. Recently though I noticed that pressing the top left square and spaming the arrow key to open and close the chat makes it so that at they don't disapear, and they stay there when the chat is open. When I close and open the chat again, the squares do what they do normally. I'm playing the latest version of the game on my Samsung Galaxy S7, american version. I tried uploading the screenshot, but the file size was to big.

I had the very same thing happen to me earlier (did not take a screenshot)
Open and close the chat window and all along the bottom of screen by friends tab across to the chat tab was those boxes like in the above screenshot posted by Flankmaster

What Android version do you have? I just tested the game on S7 with latest version of Android and Tribe Chat works fine.
